Cost: one-time items are added to Year 1. Recurring monthly and annual items are compounded by your inflation rate. We show Year 1, monthly average, 5-year, 10-year, and lifetime totals.
Human age: Dogs — 31 for the first year, +9 for year two, then +5 (small), +6 (medium), +7 (large) per year. Cats — 15 first year, +9 second, +4 thereafter.
Calories: Resting Energy Requirement (RER) = 70 × (kg^0.75). Daily calories = RER × activity factor. Dogs: 1.4 (low), 1.6 (mod), 2.0 (high). Cats: 1.0, 1.2, 1.4.
